412 hp and 390 ft-lb of torque for the 2011 5.0 mustang gt

  2. disturbedy0uth March 9, 2010 12:22 am

@foxstang4life well thats only a little less then the camaros 426hp, but itis lighter.
They should replace the base mustangs v6 with the twin turbo ecoboost v6 from the Taurus SHO.

  3. foxstang4life March 9, 2010 1:16 am

@disturbedy0uth 412 however the drag time r faster muhahah!

  4. disturbedy0uth March 9, 2010 1:28 am

how much hp is the 2011 5.0 supposed to have? im guessing around the same as the camaro’s.

Mustang it became even more of a legend after my boy Steve McQueen drove it in Bullitt… best car chase in Hollywood history.

Yet, ‘primitive’ is clearly overstepping in criticism don’t you believe so? As i mentioned before, i never had any intentions to bring forth the cobra, but that was all entirely you. As for wheel hop, I’m only going by what most say, just as you go by some think it has become comparable to IRS or more in price. In all, sorry for the douche bag comments earlier. i hope this fix things, but if i need I can get drunk and continue

I understand you are saying that the DESIGN itself is old, but that in no way earns it a primitive title if still hails over any Modern IRS. You said most switch the IRS for the LRA, but doesn’t that seem a little cost inefficient?A mustang gt of that time would cost 13k at most with low miles and Cobras run 25-30k at low mileage. I haven’t explained myself thoroughly, because up until now I would come after work half tired.

    You’re an idiot.

I DID notice you changed the subject therefore I said quote, “What? How is that relevant?” Again, this is a talk about live rear axle vs IRS nothing more.

Engine swap? What are you talking about? I am saying the IRS suspension was primitive not the car overall or the engine itself.

It’s not even possible to have a clear argument with you as you have no idea what you’re talking about. Constantly changing subjects and arguing about something not even relevant.

  12. Texarmageddon March 9, 2010 5:32 am

If you are going to mention that a car has a primitive design at least try to prove it. Yet, if im correct you have no way to prove it

  13. Texarmageddon March 9, 2010 6:11 am

Clearly, you never noticed how i switched the subject. You are saying that the cobra’s IRS is primitive, but why has nothing overcame this primitive design? I never had any plans to mention the cobra because i knew that it had IRS. Second, most people do an engine swap from a cobra. Why would they benefit from buying the cobra and than taking the LRA? Do you know how dumb that sounds. Do you know you can go to almost every forum and most are filled with engine swaps.

  14. c0nv1ct1337 March 9, 2010 6:32 am

Again, clearly you have no idea what you are talking about so I’ll make this simple.

You made a counter argument to me about the live rear suspension (this is the point of the argument). The reason I mentioned the Cobra because it has an IRS. However, many Cobra owners replaced that IRS suspension with a live rear axle because it would wheel hop. I said don’t mention THAT FACT because I was aware of the situation but nevertheless the IRS it has is a primitive design.

    Get it?

  15. Texarmageddon March 9, 2010 7:16 am

What do you suffer from short term memory loss? I quote,”Also don’t bring the Cobra example as its IRS is also primitive to the modern IRS. “

  16. c0nv1ct1337 March 9, 2010 7:59 am

    What? How is that relevant?

You are aware that the Cobra doesn’t have a live rear axle and it has an independent rear suspension right?

  17. Texarmageddon March 9, 2010 8:57 am

why would i bring the cobra? The cobra is 7 years in the past. O wait, now i remember why i would bring up the cobra. The cobra is so old and yet it still outperforms anything from it’s day of time and price range and to this day smokes anything in it’s price range and class. The 370z nismo is still barely below it in handling and in power.

  18. c0nv1ct1337 March 9, 2010 9:04 am

Ford had clearly stated it was mostly about the cost. As for wheel hop? This is an old old argument. While modern IRS don’t completely prevent wheelhop, it’s not that much of an issue anymore as they can dampen the force of the wheel a lot better when it’s forcing itself up.

Nevertheless, it’s not like majority of the people push enough power in the Mustang to take advantage of the live rear axle.

Also don’t bring the Cobra example as its IRS is also primitive to the modern IRS.

  19. Texarmageddon March 9, 2010 9:05 am

thats what i said abut the 05-09. Till then keeping the 02

  20. Texarmageddon March 9, 2010 9:54 am

Its not more or less about cost, but about performance. Live rear axle prevents wheel hop in drags and mostly all wwill street race. Hence, thats why they use it

  21. Texarmageddon March 9, 2010 10:43 am

What would that accomplish? You would just throw america into a pit that would never recover if we did things your way. You foolishly blame obama and democrats, but you do know that the two most presidents who accumulated the most debt in America were republican correct? Don’t blame someone who is at least man enough to step on the plate, instead there are pansies like you who just bitch and complain that he is doing a bad job that probably didn’t even vote. Now, back to this amzing mustang!!

  22. mramo March 9, 2010 10:50 am

Ford Mustang will always be known as The Boat. Its a very tacky looking car.

  23. iLOVESTIs March 9, 2010 11:34 am

the 5.0L is gonna embarrass that 6.2. Drag Race would be close race but pretty much any road race camaro would get burned. shits just too heavy

  24. traviserck March 9, 2010 11:46 am

    suuuuuuure……

It’s more like if you take me to school you can be the student and I can teach you how to spell and write complete sentences.

You give moron an enlightening meaning.
That word is too big for you so look it up.

  25. tuck92583 March 9, 2010 12:36 pm
